A Bluetooth-controlled outlet I built around 2016–2017. A phone app could switch the outlet on or off, and an LED indicated its state. This view shows the electronics inside the enclosure.

Another view inside the Bluetooth-controlled outlet. The project combined phone-based switching with a local LED indication of the outlet’s state.

An outlet box I built to switch electrical devices through a Bluetooth connection. Inside were a microcontroller, which I recall being an ATmega, a Bluetooth module, a transformer supplying the low-voltage electronics, and two relays that switched the outlets.

Two LEDs provided feedback about the outlet controller's state. I used them to indicate whether the outlets were on or off and, as I recall, whether the Bluetooth connection was established.

The Bluetooth-controlled outlet powering a lamp during a test. The lamp gave a clear visual indication of the outlet's switching behavior.
