I liked this headlamp’s bright LED, but its small original batteries limited how long I could use it. I adapted it to draw from a larger battery bank, with the aim of extending its runtime. It was a simple packaging and power-supply modification to a light I already enjoyed using.
Another view of the headlamp and its larger power source. My goal was longer use between battery changes, especially for situations where a hands-free light would be needed for an extended period.
A further view of the battery-bank headlamp project. This was a small practical modification focused on runtime, rather than a redesign of the lamp’s optics or LED.
