A Rogowski coil I made before I had a current transformer for pulse measurements. The conductor being measured passes through the center of the loop, and the winding picks up a signal from its changing current. Associated electronics amplified and conditioned that signal for observation with a data logger.

Another view of the homemade Rogowski coil and its electronics. The loop provided a way to pick up rapid changes in current through a conductor passing through its center.

A view showing more of the amplifier and signal-conditioning electronics used with the Rogowski coil. This was part of my homemade measurement equipment for observing high-current pulses.
